The Agreement
expands category of the citizens of Ukraine who have the right to simplified
registration procedure for free and multiple entry visas; refines the procedure
of visa registration for representatives of mass media; determines clear multiple-entry
visa validity time; provides the possibility for urgent visa processing (during
3 days) for people residing a considerable distance from the place of visa
application submission; and introduces visa free travel regime for the citizens
of Ukraine using biometric business passports.

Implementation of the Agreement will contribute to further liberalization of the visa regime with the European Union, development of contacts between Ukraine and the EU member states, creation of the foundation for the future introduction by the EU party visa-free regime for citizens of Ukraine.
